This upcoming weekend we will be competing against some of the best teams in our section and newly redefined region at Fall Brawl. It's a tournament for everyone to get some quality playing time and for the team to really start pulling things together. Bring all the skills we work on at practice into the games.

Chances are we will throw down some quality Goby zone defense. Here are a few reminders about Wall:

Positions: Mark1, Mark2, WALL, Deep, Deep-Deep

Marks: One of the Marks is on the disc at all times forcing towards the other Mark. The Mark on the disc does not get broken. The Mark not on the disc is cutting stopping the force side dump. The Marks force towards each other. Communication between the Marks about who is on the disc is key.

WALL: There are three positions in the WALL, 2 sides and one middle. The middle of the wall is HUGE and stands in front of the thrower. The sides of the WALL stand arms length away from the middle. The WALL moves as a unit. If the disc gets swung to the side, the corresponding side of the WALL busts over and cuts up the up line throw. The WALL angles itself when the disc is on the sideline. Nothing gets passed the WALL.

Deep and Deep-Deep: Are responsible for talking to everyone up field about what is going on. The Deep usually pushes up. No one gets behind the Deep-Deep. Any huck that magically makes it over the WALL will be denied by the Deep-Deep.

We will work on WALL more at practice this week.

Play hard and study hard. Good luck on your midterms!
See you on the pitch tomorrow.
